Progress

I mentioned about crocheting a bag, but have not post a picture of it before, here is the progress.Croheting in grey.

Progress of Jo Shape Belero in Cherry Red

Lastly is Forest Path Stole, which I KAL with Sally and Mona, guess my progress is far behind as I keep changing the yarn, I finally settle down with Zephre BUT double ply, since I prefer the thicker feel...

DIY Hand Phone Chain

Craft time!

Bought some leather straps and accessories during the weekend, and here are the results! What do you think?

Phildar Boleros

Finally I got it done over the weekend.

I've modified the patt by changing the button at the front to a knitted ribbon, in fact, the magazine does not indicate the button instruction nor the hole.
I will give away this to my cousin who stays in Perth, hope she will like it.
Meanwhile, let me be the model and take some pictures to show off all the hard work!

Tada~Here is my version of the boleros!

Working On Needles

I have been busy working on " a few" projects on the needles, trying hard to finish them ASAP... I hope.

1. Phildar Boleros, working on the last sleeve
2.KAL-Jo Shape Bolero working on the back with lovely cherry red.
3.KAL-Forest Part Stole on 4th tier.
4.KAL-Rusted Root a few more inches to go.
5. KAL-Crocheting a bag
6.Kimono, still long way to go.

Here a pic of the FPS as promised, the rest I will post once i finish them :D

Colouring Me

I've been buying, buying and still buying yarns *bad bad Regg*

This time round, I have more members in the gang, hehe.. and I manage to take some pic of them before I "distribute" out...

LOOK at the colour! can you resist them? and I hope you gals love them too!

Progress

Has been a while I dint update my blog.

My mood is still affected by something bad happened on 14th April 2007.

Meanwhile, just some update what's on my needles, the Rusted Root is still on-the-go..hiding in a small corner on my drawer; Boleros from Phildar, left with 2 sleeve..I need to get it done ASAP and the latest join in the WIPs list are Forest Path Stole from IK Summer 2003 and Nancy Bush Socks from Favorite Socks with KnitPick EssentialSolid in Navy..I guess knitting sock with dark colour is really a bad choice, espcially with 2.5mm needles..

I am trying out the wool i get from China for this stole, currently moving on 2nd Tier lace, this yarn the touch soft like a merino blend..in fact the actual colour is more redish then the pic, I will try to take with a better camera next time.

Memories

Today is our two weeks anniversery! *smiles*

over the last weekend, i've tried something new. The roses, which were used as decor at our ROM event, i turned them into potpourri.

It sounds simple, in fact i have done it before, many times!
- hang the flowers up-side-down and air dry, the flowers will turn dark brown or even black after sometime;
- keep them in fridge to maintain the colour, it works! but the petals become
very "crispy"!

This time, i tried something new, i got the instructions from a book.
- prepare fresh flowers and orange skin;
- remove petals and the orange skin let it air dry for 3-5 days;
- put them into oven for 3-5 mins using low heat;
- smash the orange skin as they will act as preservatives.
Lastly, put the petals and orange skin into an organza bag and put a few drops of essential oil!

Tada! here comes the potpourri! i've made them into 3 organza packs and the rest i kept them in an air tight container..hmm the colour seems nice ya :)

Wonderful Saturday

24.03.07, Sunny Saturday

Today is a lovely saturday, went breakfast with DD for Tim Sum and noodles, then drove to a flower warehouse to get some flowers...the warehouse was so cold, but the flowers there are so lovely, there have tulip, roses, lily, sun flower and many more, u name it they have it, some i dont even know the name! I ended up getting roses for myself and my buddies too, wanna surprise them he he...

At noon, i met them in the North to have coffee, lunch, snacks and of cos KNIT! ha ha..luckily i dint get light colour roses for J, realised she dont really like light colour *phew*... Y was cute, when i presented her the roses, she was plesently surprised! ha ha!

Who says happiness in life must be luxury and materialistic? i always believe just a little effort always can make a great effect.

People might think we are too free to spents hours to knit, i have people telling me can get off rack cheaper! yes i agree but just wanna say that " we knit not because we are too free, it is because we treasure simple things in life!"

Time really flies, we ended up spending almost 6 hours there! BUT some how i still feel that it is not enough! ha ha..gals, thanks for the great saturday, Friendship Forever!

We did the decor mostly by ourselves with the great help of J & Y of cos, thanks gals :), my bro il and his two friends were our photographers on that day, so we ended up having 3 pro photographers! we felt so special hehe...

Gifts and decor

Busy Busy Busy

I have not been doing homework for a month! time really flies.

Over the past one month, we managed to book our registration and wedding venue, it was a huge relief to both of us, and we also found the lovely wedding favour for our guest for both events!

I am back with crochet, doing some little accessories e.g. roses as brooch and hair band, a doggie patt and a bubble clutch, kinda fall in love with the rose.

Knitting wise, i managed to finish my SF and now working on the sock (gosh! yes i am!) and RR, i have to finish this two ASAP so that i can CO the new one! long way to go.
